Garmin Favorites Transfer
How I can transfer a garmin favorite places to another?
My father is buying a new one for him and for me the old. Does anyone know how I can transfer your favorite sites to the new?
Not sure that Garmin has, but there are some general instructions for the transfer of locations. If you have MapSource, you can use the GPS waypoints are old and then send and transfer to the new GPS. This preserves all aspects of the additional data point reference and telephone number / address / comment. If you do not have MapSource, CURRENT.GPX copy of the x: / Garmin / GPX in the old unit to the same folder in the new unit, except to rename the file to temp.GPX. This will import the new waypoints on the GPS again. This method does not retain the additional data mentioned above, but the benchmarks will be useful
