Can Garmin Legend HCx screen to change?

The Garmin Legend HCx shown to be in color. Color displays are so hard to see outdoors. Is there a GPS in this model that allows a high contrast or even better in black and white screen. One type of screen that shows itself when viewed off sunlight, thanks.

Look on page 37 of owner's manual: http://www8.garmin.com/manuals/eTrexLegendHCx_OwnersManual.pdf can choose one of the 10-day color schemes and night. If a night is best viewed in daylight, you can choose "single night." Otherwise just get a Garmin monochome. They use less energy and contrast much better than a color screen (although with less detail.)
